September 2015

September was a month full of football, volleyball, roping and fun family memories.  The weather was beautiful.  We only had one cold football game all season, which never happens.  The fair weather was also so nice.  We love spending time at the fair. We also went to the Boise State/BYU football game in Provo, which was amazing!  Jake had a roping in Ogden, but he didn't win any money.  Sally played volleyball.  She was a key player for the Firth Cougars.   We had Potato Harvest the last week in September.  Jace had a job lined up but he ended up getting sick so he couldn't work, which he was really sad about not be able to get more money! Sally worked a day and then didn't want to go back, since working in potatoes is not fun!   September is one of my favorite months.  Life is good for us!
Jake loves loves his corn!  He can eat easily eat 10-15 ears of corn in a seating.  Our garden produced so much this year.  We put in several fruit trees, strawberry patch, raspberries, squash, pumpkin, corn, beans, peas, watermelon, and several varieties of pumpkins.  The garden is so much work but worth it in the end.
Jagger was so tired after the roping.  He loves being his Dad's right hand man.  His hands are so cute in this picture.

Jace had a great football season this year.  He has a strong arm, that can throw long passes.  It was super fun watching him.
Jace played Carter this year.  This is the 1st of many Firth/Ririe games where they will be playing each other.  Firth did win, but Carter had a touchdown too.

Jace got so sick in September.  He was sick for a few days then we decided we better take him in to the doctor.  He had horrible stomach cramps and could hardly stand up.  The doctor was pretty sure that he had apprentices, so he sent him over to get an ultra sound.  Luckily the ultra sound said that he had inflammation of the lymph nodes of his stomach.  He had never been so sick.  His Dad and football coach Wade was worried sick since they don't have a back up quarterback.  He played his game still but wasn't quite 100%.

He got really sick after they took his blood, that he threw up and almost passed out.  It was super scary for me.  I felt so bad for him.
Mallory likes taking selfies.  She really likes her baby brother Jagger.

Jagger and Hinckley watching their Daddy's rope.  These two are funny and could cause some trouble!

Jagger loved walking Maverick!

We were so excited to go the BYU/Boise St. Game!  It was so much fun!  BYU played great and they won.  Jace met his friend Canon at the stadium.  They were able to meet many players and had great seats close to the field.  After the game we were able to go on the football field.  Mallory even got to lay on the Y.

We were cheering so loud!

Jace and Canon are good friends.  They are both avid BYU fans.

Before we went to the BYU game, Bruce and Nikki took us out on the boat.  This kids loved it.  Nikki and Bruce are the best hosts and always make us feel so welcome.  They watched our 3 little ones while we went to the BYU game.

Jake didn't know if he liked the the tube.  It gave him some whiplash!

The kids went and helped Grandpa John with some cows and things around his place.  They love being outside!

The Fair was fun this year again.  The kids did the buckaroo rodeo and barrel raced.  We had lots of fair food and spent way too much money!

Jagger rop

We went to the Rodeo again this year.  Jagger was scared of the clown!

Sally went to Homecoming with Will Park. She found her dress at Ross.  She looked so beautiful!  She had so fun.

I asked Jagger and Madelyn to go get dressed.  Madelyn picked out Jagger's outfit.  Jagger picked Madelyn's outfit.  These two are so funny together.  Madelyn doesn't go to school until noon so they play in the mornings.  I wish I could freeze time with them sometimes.

We decided for the Women's conference to go to Grandma
Susan's and fix a dinner and watch the conference.  We had a fun night!
