I can't get my slide show to work, so click on this link to see our Christmas Pictures!
We had such a great Christmas! Our kids were soooooo excited for Christmas to finally come! We started celebrating Christmas early by going to a live Nativity in Blackfoot. Nitch, Ashley, Kate and Savannah arrived home just in time to join us. We were excited to see them!It was a very cold night, but so worth it to see the awesome nativity. On Christmas eve, we met Jed & Emily and Jason & Gini at the Idaho Museum in I.F. to check out the Christmas display. We were also so excited to see Jed, Emily, Ava and Kasen. We had fun looking at all of the gingerbread houses and nativities. We spent the evening over at G&G Baldwins house. We did the traditional eating of so much food, laughing, and of course doing the nativity. We had a very entertaining nativity this year. We all opened presents from G&G with fun pj's for the kids. Our kids were so tired that we came home and went straight to bed, but not before tracking Santa on the computer & leaving cookies for him. Jace and Mallory had a slumber party in Jace's room. (McKenna tried to join them, but was too loud so they kicked her out) We had decided to set the alarm for 8 a.m., but I woke up at 7 and was so excited that I had to wake them up at 7:30. Jace was so excited about his presents that he was jumping up and down. Mallory was so excited about her Leapstear! The funny thing about Mallory is that every once in a while she would announce to everyone when we would get excited about our presents, "The reason why we have Christmas is because Jesus was born." Thanks Mallory for the reminder! McKenna just loved unwrapping any present(she unwrapped several for me, that were under the tree that were not hers!) We had so much snow on Christmas Day that we ended up just staying home to relax and play the wii! We had planned to go to Rigby, but the roads were closed. Christmas is so fun to see that twinkle and excitement in our children's eyes! With the large families that Jake and I have, we have had so many parties over the past couple of weeks! We had the Erickson party on the 26th. We always have a good time and love seeing all of our family. We played a fun game of Catch phrase with all the the adults. The Ericksons are very competitive so it makes for some good laughs. Thank goodness Jed and Jake didn't wrestle and knock over the Christmas tree and land on grandma this year!(inside joke with Jed and his ear!)Saturday we had our Baldwin Party. We had fun with different games & a search of nativities. My mom collects nativities and she had almost 150 around her house. We did try to have a couples party with adults upstairs & kids downstairs, but it didn't last long due some very tired kids. It didn't help that there were 20 kids under the age of 11! On Sunday our church was cancelled due some severe weather. Several of our roads were closed with drifts that were about 6 feet tall all the way across some of them. I got to admit I was a little excited to have our own Pajama church! Later that day we made it over to my parents house for a great turkey dinner with Nikki & Bruce. We also got to play a few games of dominoes. We had Jed & Emily come over and spend the night on Tuesday. Nitch and Ashley also joined us that night to enjoy some of the good ol' times by engaging in a mean game of Cranium. (when we all lived in Ogden, we would get together almost every week and play games and Cranium was our favorite due to some great acting skills by Nitch and great humdingers by Jed). We had some good laughs and it brought back some great memories of our time in Ogden We stayed up really late because Jed could not put down the wii and didn't' get kids to bed until after midnight!!(We counted this for our new years eve party!)New years day we went up to Tetonia to go sledding/snowmobiling and having fun in "the valley" We had sooo much fun! We stayed warm and had lots yummy food! Thanks to Ron/Michelle and Susan/Eric for their snow knowledge and letting us destroy your homes! On Friday afternoon, we went down to SLC. Jake had some work to do down there, so we stayed at the The Little America hotel. We had so much fun swimming and just hanging out. Jake & Marie don't live too far way, so they came to join us on Saturday for a swim. Jake and Jace had tickets to go to the BYU/Wake Forest game. (thanks Trena) They had so much fun and it was one the best games they have ever seen! (even though BYU lost, it was a great game to watch) On Sunday Amber/Spence blessed Mia. It was fun to go to back to our old ward and see all of our friends in Ogden. We really did love that place and the people there! We have stayed so busy with all of our family things, but we love it! We wouldn't have it any other way! We feel very blessed to live by our families. We are so glad our kids get to live by their Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Our lives are enriched by all of you!

How fun to hear about your Christmas and see your cute pictures. I can't believe your mom has that many nativities! I realized this year that I don't really have one. I need to get my act together.
cute background! we had so fun too with everyone!
i'm so sad we missed each other again during the holidays, if it wasn't for that blasted winter weather!! and if you come down to utah one more time without calling or stopping by, you are dead:) i really was hoping to stop by the night of the 26th but we got into lewisville around 11:30pm due to the slick roads- sounded like quite the party though! glad you had a great christmas, hope to see you soon!
What a great re-cap on Christmas. Isn't the Wii fun? My boys are so competative with Nate, it is fun to watch. Your kids are darling!
I think it's awesome that you recorded all that. Another month and you wouldn't remember what you did! I was glad we got to be a part of things.
