August made our summer come to a scrteching halt when the school started August 25.  I hate having them go back to school, but love the schedule and the consistence that it gives us.  I love the Wapello Elementary school that our kids attend.  We have great teachers that work so hard.  It is just alittle country school that has great kids in it.  It is funny because school started in August, but then the fair usually begins a week after that and they get out all week for the fair. When we first moved to Blackfoot I didnt understand what all the hub bub was about. Now that we have lived her for 6 years, we get it.  It is a big deal in Blackfoot.  We love going to the fair.  We usually go a couple hours each day to get fair food and other activies. 

Every August since we moved to Blackfoot(6 years ago) I have taken my kids to feed the ducks.  We usually go on a night when Jake has board meetings, so he doesn't usually join us, which is sad.  My kids look forward to feeding the ducks each year.  They usually get a loaf a bread each to feed the ducks.  Madelyn fed one duck almost  the whole loaf of bread in a couple minutes. McKenna tried to make sure all the ducks got a piece of bread so hers lasted for a long time.  We were glad Grandpa and Grandma Baldwin got to come too!  After we fed the ducks we went to Smitty's Restraunt.  We love the pancakes at Smitty's.  My kids licked their plates clean they love them so much!
