| 1st day 6th grade. |
The summer is over and it's time to get back to school....There is a famous song that my Dad sings the night before school starts back up in the fall. He did this when I was growing up and we would run and hide so as not to hear him sing. He still does this for all the grandkids that are in school. They do the same thing, they go run and hide not to hear Grandpa's song...."summer is over"! Jace even purchased some ear plugs this year, not because Grandpa sings bad, but because the song means that summer is over! This summer went by so fast! Jace did start in August, because Firth started two weeks before Blackfoot! So Jace's summer was even shorter than the girls. Jace did get out for Spud Harvest for two weeks though.
| Madelyn had colored this picture and was so very proud of it. |
| This was our Bucket List for Our Summer of 2013 |
| The Eastern Idaho State Fair is a big deal around Blackfoot! We love going. This year Nicholas and Ashley came to visit during the fair. It was fun to go with them and their girls. |
| Conner ate the Bulls-eye chicken sandwich. It is a doughnut with a chicken patty in the middle,Yum! |
| Jace tried the turkey leg this year. It wasn't his favorite |
| Jace decided to use is own money to ride the mechanical bull. He did pretty good. He found that he is a roper not a bull rider. |
| The girls are fun to take to the fair. We love the food at the fair! |
| The parade was super fun this year. The girls got way too much candy. |
| This picture is alittle blurry, but this is how I found Jagger helping his Dad mow lawn. So not safe! |
| This year we started a new tradition. We are going to do a school dinner and pick a theme each year for our school year. This year theme is "Listen and Obey" |
| Our garden did great this year. We moved our garden plot down the hill, out by the arena. We made it way bigger. Yikes! Jake learned how to install a drip-system, so it made watering super easy and weeds were very minimal. We had so much produce from our garden. Our kids love having the garden, running out each morning to see what else has grown. This year we planted, zucchini(both yellow and green), tomatoes, watermelon, beans, peas, corn, squash(about 5 different kids), raspberries, strawberries, pumpkins, and cucumbers. |
| Jace was extra excited about his watermelon, they were big and tasty! |
| McKenna's first day of 1st grade. Mrs. Barrett is her teacher. |
| Mallory(3rd) and McKenna(1st) are at Wapello Elementary this year. |
| Mallory first day of 3rd grade. She has Mrs. Sluder. |
| Madelyn started her 1st year at Preschool. She goes to Small World Preschool. She had gotten bit by a mosquito on her eye, so that is why it looks so swollen. |
| Jace and Trey got to go up to Humphrey with Jake and Grandpa John to get cows. They had so much fun. |
| Jake and Jace were lucky enough to get tickets to go to the BYU/Texas game. Trena is so nice to give them the tickets. |
| It was crazy weather on this day! When we were driving down to Provo from Idaho. It rained like cats and dogs. The wind was blowing like crazy. We actually saw a tree get uprooted because of the wind. It was an eerie feeling with dark/black clouds all around us. I dropped off Jace and Jake at the stadium in pouring rain. They got soaked and were freezing. They didn't bring a jacket so they had to buy BYU sweatshirts to stay warm. The game was delayed due to lighting, so they got to spend extra time at the stadium. When I drove back to Nikki Sue's house it was crazy weather. Seriously never saw anything like it in my life! The roads were covered in water. The traffic was at a stand still. The 3 girls, Jagger and I were in the van for over two hours trying to get to Nikki's house. |
| Jace is an avid cougars fan, just like his Grandpa Nick! |
| Best part of the whole game....seeing Jimmer Freddete. During halftime, Jimmer was in the VIP tent where Trena has tickets. Jace is beaming. |
| Jace and Isaac with Jackson Emery, Brandon Davis and Charles Abou. |
| They made memories they will never forget! |
| These two are the best of friends! Jace is 10 days older than Isaac. |
| In September we are always excited when we get peaches. For mom, that means so much work to get them all canned. For the kids, that means peach milkshakes. Jake makes a mean peach milkshake. |
| McKenna and Ledger rode sheep at the fair rodeo. This is the 1st time McKenna rode a sheep. She loved it. |
| McKenna is the sweetest girl. |
| She is so proud of her trophy. |
| The 3 M girls got cool face painting at the hospital party. They even made the paper. |
