December- part 3-Christmas Time

Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year. This year was really special with Madelyn just being born 1 week before Christmas. I was glad we had Christmas all ready before she was born, so we could just enjoy having a new baby! The kids were so excited for Christmas! This Christmas was different because my parents were gone on their mission. We usually spend Christmas Eve with my parents, but since they were gone, the Poulters invited us to their house. We had yummy homemade pizza dinner & just hung out. We skyped my parents. It made us all a little sad. We missed them so much! Christmas morning was so fun. All three kids are old enough that they get so excited. Although they did sleep until 9 a.m., which I was really thankful for. Jake & I had been up until 2 am with the baby & Christmas things) Jace only wanted 2 things: A Brandon Marshall jersey & a wii game, NBA Live, so he was thrilled when he saw them. Mallory got a barbie house & barbies. She played all day with the barbie house. McKenna got her "real live" dolly(it actually cries &and it is rather annoying!), highchair, doll bunk beds, and a stroller. It was really a great day as we didn't have anywhere to go until later that night. Jake's mom and dad came to our house that day to see what the kids got for christmas and to hold Madelyn as well. It was nice of them to drive to our house to spend a few hours with us on Christmas. Later that night, we went to Ashley's house where Hugh & Candace came. The next day Jake's family was having their Christmas party. The Erickson Christmas party is always fun with lots of people. The kids just love seeing all of there cousins & being at Grandma's house.

Mallory loves Whitney & Megan.

Abbie, Ava & Mallory singing a song. They have so much fun together.

Bennett played an awesome song on the trumpet.

Isabel was such a pretty Mary & baby Jesus (Madelyn) was sporting a headband!
