April

April is a always a fun month. I love when the weather starts to get warmer and the kids can play outside. Of course that we live in Idaho, you never know what kind of spring you will get! This year was just right down cold! This didn't stop us from having our Annual Baldwin Kite Flying Contest. It was a bitterly cold day, but we still tried to fly our kites. The wind was blowing too hard for kites, so it didn't last long with kites! We were missing my Mom and Dad, but know they will be here next year for it!

Easter

Easter was on April 4th this year. It was alittle earlier then normal. It still didn't feel like Easter, because it was so cold outside and not much spring weather. The kids were of course really excited for Easter. We tired hard this year to make sure we taught them about why Easter is so special. That it wasn't about getting "stuff", but about the Savior being resurrected. It was funny, because about every 5 minutes, on Easter morning, Jace and Mallory would remind McKenna that it didn't matter what the Easter bunny gave us, but we are celebrating that Jesus was resurrected! Jace and Mallory are such a mom and dad to both McKenna and Madelyn. They are very serious about most things. They are great reminders to me too about thing that are important! We had a great Easter day as we joined Grandma and Grandpa Erickson, Matt and Amie for a Easter Dinner For the Erickson this is a really small group for a family gathering. We missed everyone else, but we still had a great time.
