June...Building our Arena

Jake and I have always dreamed of having our own arena.  We grew up roping and riding horses so it was something we wanted our family/kids to have also.  When we moved to our house in Blackfoot, we knew someday we would build an arena, it just took us five years to do it!  Jake found a great deal on an arena.  You order all the panels and chute, then you put it together.   Jake spent many hours getting the ground ready, thinking and deciding where he wanted to put everything.  Jake's job is extremely busy so he didn't have a ton of time to do all he needed.  My dad and two brothers(Nate and Nicholas) came to help put up the arena.  The night that they decided to put the arena together was so cold.....bitter cold.  They bundled up and worked several hours putting it together.  They got so much done.  Jake spent the next several weeks, putting up the boxes and gates up.  Jake worked so hard getting our place ready for us to rope. He did a great job, the arena and horse pens look so good.  Jace was extremely excited about roping in his own arena.  We leased some steers so we were ready to rope.  I was very pregnant and not able to rope.   So I am excited to rope next summer.
Everyone was hard at work, they didn't even notice the cold!

Jace was a great helper!
